Amica Educa implemented Festival of Lifelong Learning project in BiH from 2000 to 2011 with an aim of raising public awareness about the need to apply the concept of lifelong learning in BiH, encourage networking of stakeholders in adult education within the country and to initiate the adoption of laws on adult education in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Within the project various activities were implemented aimed at presenting and promoting formal, non-formal and informal learning (fairs, corporate film, exhibitions, open doors), workshops, round tables, debates on different topics in the field of adult education and lifelong learning, media campaigns, etc. During the project informal network of organizations with a focus on the field of adult education was formed and it supported the realization of the Festival throughout BiH.

The results and effects of the Lifelong Learning Festival ensured the visibility of the organization in the community and recognition of Amica Educa as an organization that implements and promotes non-formal education and lifelong learning as the basis for the development of the society. As confirmation of the Amica Educa’s professional work was the acceptance in the European Adult Education Association (EAEA) in 2006 as the first organization from BiH.
