The project aims to empower individuals and families in a state of psychosocial need who have experienced marginalization and exclusion on any basis (poverty, unemployment, belonging to ethnic minorities, disability, mental illness, place of residence, disturbed family circumstances, level of education, age, gender, etc.), in crisis situations, with experienced traumas and other psychosocial difficulties, in order to achieve psychological and emotional well-being, become active in the labor market, and ultimately contribute to their community.
The project includes the realization of a psycho-educational workshop on the topic “Nonviolent Communication”. This workshop offers learning immediately applicable tools that facilitate the flow of communication, overcome differences of opinion, prevent and offer solutions in conflict situations. The focus is on recognizing and expressing emotions and needs, and it is applicable in different contexts: within the family, in partner relationships, parent-child relationships, in challenging relationships with adolescents, but also in other relationships, as well as in the professional environment (in educational, social, health institutions where the needs of the users are multiple…).
The project also enables the treatment of psychological and social difficulties of persons at risk through individual, partnership, family and group counseling/psychotherapy work. The psychotherapy process includes specific methods of providing understanding, security, trust and help to individuals, couples and families who in this way are supported on the path of personal growth and development, and learn to adapt to life’s challenges, so that they can independently solve current and future problems in the long term.
The project will be realized in the period 01.06. 2024 – 30.11.2024 and is financed by the Tuzla City Government.
