The Association Amica Educa will soon begin implementing the initiative “Youth Safe Space”, aimed at improving young people’s mental health, resilience, and sense of safety in Tuzla by establishing an accessible and supportive space for psychological and peer support.

The project offers young people aged 15 to 30 a safe environment where they can openly discuss the challenges they face—such as stress, anxiety, emotional difficulties, or violence in relationships—while developing skills related to self-regulation, emotional literacy, and mutual peer support.

During the project period, at least 25 young people will directly use the services of the safe space, while additional participants will be involved through thematic workshops, peer-support meetings, and a public Open Day event. Activities will also include a small online campaign aimed at informing and empowering young people.

This initiative represents an important step toward the long-term establishment of a Youth Counselling Centre in Tuzla.

The project will be implemented from April to September 2026, with financial support from the Frieda – feminist peace organization (Switzerland).
