On the occasion of World Health Day, the Association Amica Educa, in cooperation with the Red Cross of the City of Tuzla, organized a promotional and preventive activity aimed at raising awareness about the importance of mental health and preventing the negative effects of stress among young people.

The activity was conducted in the form of a psychoeducational workshop titled “Mind hack: how to outsmart stress”, held on 11 April 2026 in the educational space of Amica Educa.

The workshop brought together 20 young participants, including volunteers of the Red Cross of the City of Tuzla, peer counsellors and educators from Amica Educa, as well as young people from the local community.

Through an interactive and experiential approach, participants had the opportunity to better understand how stress affects mental and physical health, recognize its early signs, and learn practical, easy-to-apply techniques for stress regulation and strengthening psychological resilience.

The workshop focused on building capacities to cope with everyday challenges and developing healthier behavioural patterns. Particular attention was given to situations in which young people most often experience stress—such as school and academic responsibilities, interpersonal relationships, and various expectations and pressures—while introducing practical strategies for constructive coping.

Through open dialogue and experiential work, participants were empowered to recognize their own role in maintaining health and to adopt healthy habits and tools that contribute to the long-term improvement of both mental and physical well-being, as well as overall quality of life.

The activity was implemented within the Programme “Healthy Communities in Bosnia and Herzegovina”, funded by the Government of Switzerland and implemented by the Federal Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare of Republika Srpska in partnership with the Institute for Population and Development.
