Representatives of the Association Amica Educa and Pedagogical Institute of Tuzla Canton participated in the final partner meeting and international conference of the MEET – Mental Well-being in Education for Disadvantaged Youth project, held on 9 and 10 June 2026 in Maribor, Slovenia. The project is implemented within the framework of the Interreg Danube Region Programme.
On the first day, a project partner meeting was held, during which the results achieved so far were presented, progress in the implementation of activities was reviewed, and the partners’ final responsibilities were discussed. A significant part of the meeting was dedicated to the exchange of experiences and the exploration of future opportunities for cooperation aimed at supporting young people’s mental health.

On the second day, the international conference entitled “From Ideas to Change: Mental Health Support for Young People” brought together representatives of organisations, institutions, research centres, and experts from several European countries. The conference showcased the results of the MEET project, experiences in working with young people from vulnerable groups, examples of successful mental health support models, and recommendations for improving policies and practices at local, national, and European levels.
During the panel discussion “Real Challenges – Real Solutions”, partner organisations shared their experiences from piloting activities designed to promote and strengthen young people’s mental health throughout the project. The conference also provided an opportunity to discuss how local practices can be connected with broader European strategies and contribute to systemic change in the field of mental health.
The participation of representatives of Amica Educa and the Pedagogical Institute of Tuzla Canton provided an opportunity to present experiences from Bosnia and Herzegovina, exchange knowledge with international partners, and strengthen cooperation in the fields of youth support and mental health promotion.
The MEET project demonstrated the importance of cross-border cooperation and the joint development of innovative solutions that respond to the real needs of young people, particularly those from vulnerable and socially excluded groups. Amica Educa and its partners remain committed to promoting mental health, empowering young people, and contributing to the development of supportive communities that provide opportunities for the healthy growth and well-being of every young person.
