Mental health and inclusion are important
In a world that can often seem overwhelming, it’s okay to ask for support.
Psychotherapy is not a sign of weakness – it is a powerful tool for healing, growth and self-discovery.
Another useful approach that can make a big difference in how we connect with ourselves and others is nonviolent communication. The workshop on “Communication and Empathy” using the basics of nonviolent communication teaches us how to honestly express our needs and feelings, while listening to others with empathy and respect. It is about communicating with compassion, without judgment or blame, cultivating a healthier relationship with ourselves and the people around us.
Whether you are managing stress, anxiety, depression or just need someone to talk to, psychotherapy – combined with nonviolent communication skills can offer a safe space to work on emotions, develop emotional intelligence and find healthier mechanisms for coping with everyday stress and life challenges. 💬✨
In the period June – November 2024, the City of Tuzla provided funds for a total of 29 citizens who received psychotherapy services (a total of 94 sessions of individual and partner psychotherapy) or attended a three-day workshop on the topic of “Communication and Empathy”. These services are part of the activities implemented within the project “Towards an Inclusive Community through Psychosocial Treatment and (Psycho) Education”.
We are grateful that the City of Tuzla recognizes us as a provider of social services and continuously provides support within its capabilities.
