In the period from January 2021 to the end of December 2022, the Amica Educa Association is implementing the project “Development of a training program for members of Municipal Gender Equality Commissions in Bosnia and Herzegovina”, in partnership with the citizens’ association “Nesto Vise”.
The aim of the project is to strengthen the role and position of women in political, social and economic processes and to support local partnerships in establishing effective mechanisms for gender equality in local communities in BiH.
Through the project it will be established a functional operational structure within local governments that will support the promotion and advocacy of women’s rights, especially those living in rural areas; to strength the capacities of local stakeholders, public and civil sector, to effectively implement the basic human rights agenda with a special focus on women from vulnerable categories (women with disabilities, minorities, members of the LGBT community); to develop a model for enhancing gender equality on local level communities which can be replicated in other BH local communities.
The project will cover 20 local communities (10 from FB&H and 10 from RS)
