Gender
equality
The Gender Equality Program is focused on building a more just society in which citizens – adults, youth, and children – are empowered to recognize and challenge gender inequalities in their private environments and the wider community.
Through projects and activities within this program, we continuously or periodically implement:
- Workshops on gender-based violence for primary and secondary school children and their teachers
- Workshops for youth and training of young volunteers on gender equality and gender-based violence
- Psychosocial and economic empowerment of women through workshops on gender equality, psychological empowerment, digital literacy, and employability skills
- Workshops for representatives of institutions at all levels of government on gender equality
- Support in organizing and implementing campaigns aimed at reducing gender inequality, gender-based violence, and femicide (e.g. 16 Days of Activism, International Women’s Day on March 8, etc.)
- Contribution to the development of new or monitoring of existing Gender Action Plans (GAPs) at the cantonal and city levels
