Knowledge gained through educational programmes has the greatest value when it is shared and passed on. This is exactly what happened after professor Edita Mujić from the Secondary School Banovići participated in a psychoeducational workshop on nonviolent communication organized by the Association Amica Educa.

Recognizing the importance of nonviolent communication skills for everyday work in schools – including the prevention and reduction of peer violence, improving relationships with students, and strengthening cooperation among teachers – professor Mujić decided to share the knowledge she had gained with her colleagues. Through the exchange of materials and ideas with Ivona Erdeljac Senkas, a nonviolent communication trainer from Amica Educa, professor Mujić designed and prepared a workshop tailored to the school context.

The result was a two-day training for teachers at the Secondary School Banovići, completed on December 28, 2026, and facilitated by professor Mujić. During the workshop, teachers had the opportunity to learn about the basic principles of nonviolent communication and explore ways to apply them in their work with students and in everyday school communication.

This initiative represents a strong example of how knowledge gained through training can be multiplied and shared further, creating a broader positive impact. When skills such as empathic listening, clear expression of needs, and constructive conflict resolution are introduced into schools, they contribute to creating a safer and more supportive environment for students, support the long-term reduction of (peer) violence, and strengthen a culture of dialogue within the community.
