The “Psychosocial Support Through Life’s Challenges” project provides accessible, professional and confidential support to individuals and families in the City of Tuzla who are facing difficult life circumstances. Family and relationship crises, loss, violence, prolonged stress, unemployment and financial insecurity can affect mental health, relationships and the ability to manage everyday life. When difficulties build up, seeking help is not always easy, especially for people facing poverty, discrimination or limited access to support services.
The project includes information and an initial counselling contact, individual, couples and family psychotherapy and counselling, and psychoeducational workshops on family relationships, communication skills and empathy. Through individual conversations and group work, we will give participants space to better understand what they are going through, recognise their strengths and needs, and develop ways to cope with difficulties. We will pay particular attention to personal empowerment, strengthening family relationships, fostering mutual understanding and connecting people with other available forms of support when needed.
We plan to reach around 50 people from the City of Tuzla through these forms of support.
The project runs from 1 August to 31 December 2026 and is funded by the City of Tuzla.
