In the period 2021 – 2023 Amica Educa will implement a project Youth as a Social Changemakers. The aim of the project is to increase the involvement of young people in social changes by focusing on challenges related to mental health, gender equality and peace building.
The target group of the project are young people from 16 to 30 years of age, high school students, unemployed or occasionally employed, from the area of the city of Tuzla and Tuzla Canton.
The project include about 40 young people who will be supported, empowered and educated in the field of youth mental health, gender equality and building a non-violent society. At the same time, young people will be educated in various topics / specific activities in the field of activism and advocacy.
The project also envisages conducting advocacy activities for the public and in cooperation with relevant institutions and organizations where young people (applying their own ideas, creativity and innovation) will have the opportunity to participate in initiating changes related to destigmatization of mental health, increase of gender equality and building a non-violent environment.
In order to make the advocacy messages and changes stronger, the project envisages cooperation with relevant NGOs as well as institutions such as: Ministries of Culture, Sports and Youth of Tuzla Canton, Ministry of Labor, Social Policy and Returns of Tuzla Canton, University of Tuzla, Center for mental health of the Tuzla Health Center as well as the Youth Council of the City of Tuzla.
