The project aims to improve the mental and social well-being of children and families in Tuzla Canton by developing children’s emotional and social skills and raising awareness of children’s rights. Amica Educa is implementing the project from September to December 2026.
Through weekly psychoeducational and creative workshops, children of preschool and early primary school age develop emotional, social and communication skills. Working in a small group with support from facilitators, they learn to recognise and express their emotions and needs, build self-confidence and develop relationships with their peers through play, creative expression, discussion and relaxation exercises. Collaboration with parents and caregivers through conversations and feedback provides additional support for applying what children learn in everyday family life.
As part of Children’s Week, the workshop “My Rights, My Voice!” will also be held, welcoming interested children from the local community. Through creative and experiential activities, children will learn about their rights, explore how to express their opinions and where to seek support, while also learning to respect the rights of others.
Through this project, we aim to help create a safe and supportive environment in which children’s emotions, needs and rights are recognised and respected, and families receive support to build close, non-violent relationships.
The project is funded by the Ministry of Labour, Social Policy and Return of Tuzla Canton.
