Within the socio-economic empowerment programme, young people may have the opportunity to take part in additional professional training, courses, reskilling and upskilling programmes, job shadowing visits and other forms of learning through direct contact with the work environment.
Through visits to businesses, organisations and institutions, young people become familiar with different occupations, work environments, professional pathways and employers’ expectations. These activities help them gain a clearer understanding of their own professional interests, develop self-presentation skills, ask more concrete questions about internships, employment and career development, and better understand opportunities for entering the labour market.
