The Family Relationships and Dynamics workshop is based on principles of the systemic approach, which views the family as an interconnected system in which changes in one part influence all members. Family relationships strongly shape the way we perceive ourselves, build closeness with others, and respond to different life situations. Experiences within the family often become the foundation of our beliefs, communication patterns, and ways of coping with challenges later in life.
Through the workshop, participants explore how family values, beliefs, and experiences influence behaviour and relationships within the family. Special attention is given to understanding mutual expectations, family roles, and the ways in which certain behavioural patterns are transmitted across generations. The workshop also considers the influence of the broader social environment on family relationships and dynamics.
An integral part of the workshop includes elements of the family constellations method developed by German psychotherapist Bert Hellinger (www.hellingerinstituut.nl/en/family-constellations/). This experiential approach allows participants to gain deeper insight into the structure of family relationships and the dynamics of specific challenges, helping them recognize new perspectives, resources, and possibilities for positive change within the family system.
The workshop provides space for deeper understanding of family relationships and encourages participants to develop healthier patterns of communication, greater mutual understanding, and a more responsible approach to their own role within the family.
During the workshop participants:
• learn the basic principles of a systemic understanding of the family
• explore how family patterns influence behaviour and relationships
• develop a deeper understanding of mutual expectations within the family
• learn how to improve communication among family members
• recognize possibilities for positive change in family relationships
