Understanding and Managing Anger

Understanding and Managing Anger

The Understanding and Managing Anger workshop focuses on exploring one of the most intense and often misunderstood human emotions and on developing healthy ways of expressing it. Anger is a natural emotion that often signals that our boundaries, needs, or values have been challenged. In itself, anger is not the problem—on the contrary, it can be an important source of energy for change, self-protection, and standing up for oneself.

When anger remains unrecognized or suppressed, it may lead to accumulated tension, internal frustration, and occasional emotional “outbursts” that can damage relationships with others. On the other hand, when it is expressed in unhealthy, uncontrolled, or aggressive ways, anger may lead to loss of trust, escalation of conflicts, distancing in relationships, and harm to others.

Through the workshop, participants develop a deeper understanding of emotional reactions, learn to distinguish between the feeling of anger and the ways it is expressed, and explore how to build a healthier relationship with this emotion—one that supports greater personal stability and more constructive interpersonal relationships.

During the workshop participants:

• recognize situations and triggers that provoke anger
• understand the messages behind intense emotional reactions
• develop the ability to pause and manage impulsive reactions
• learn how to express dissatisfaction in a clear and responsible way
• develop constructive ways of responding in tense or conflict situations
