Positive Discipline in the Classroom

Positive Discipline in the Classroom

The Positive Discipline in the Classroom workshop focuses on developing approaches that encourage responsibility, cooperation, and a sense of belonging among students. Contemporary educational practices increasingly emphasize the importance of creating a supportive and safe classroom environment where students develop not only academic knowledge but also social and emotional skills.

Positive Discipline represents a non-violent and encouraging approach to working with children and young people that helps teachers and educators establish a balance between warmth, understanding, and clearly defined rules. This approach focuses on building relationships based on mutual respect, responsibility, and recognition of the needs of all participants in the educational process.

Through the workshop, participants develop a deeper understanding of how students think, feel, and make decisions, and explore approaches that foster a positive classroom atmosphere, constructive responses to behavioural challenges, and a stronger sense of community within the classroom.

During the workshop participants:

• learn the core principles of Positive Discipline in educational settings
• develop approaches for establishing clear and consistent classroom rules
• learn how to respond constructively to challenging student behaviour
• explore methods that encourage responsibility, cooperation, and a sense of belonging
• strengthen skills for creating a supportive and safe classroom atmosphere
